Our story
- Rancho Las Margaritas was founded more than 40 years ago by Alejandro Villaseñor.
- The purpose was to breed fine pure blood Quarter Horses. Many national champions were bred and raised in Las Margaritas!
- Alejandro was president of the Mexican Quarter Horse Breeders Association (AMCM).
- With time, Alejandro invited some of his friends to ride and keep their horses in this beautiful place.
- Alejandro has been organizing horse rides throughout Mexico for more than 40 years now. He is the current vice president of the Mexican Trail Riding Federation. (FMC).
- Gustavo Saavedra has been riding for more than 50 years. He is a skilled horseman and has ridden throughout most of Mexico’s countryside as well as in many countries in the world. He is knowledgeable in Mexican culture and is an adviser for the Mexican Trail Riding Federation.
- They both love horses, Mexico, it’s culture, traditions and country side.
- Together, Alejandro and Gustavo have decided to share with you what they are most passionate about: horse riding in the San Miguel area, enjoying its culture and its flavors.
